The community can also be accessed from W Placita De La Cotonia off of the Interstate 19 South Frontage Road.
 
Desert Hills Estates/South Acres is NOT Age-Restricted and it is governed by the Desert Hills Estates HOA.
 
The private lots with mature landscaping range in size from 1.0 to 2.4 acres, with the average lot size being 1.15 acres.
